SHOWBIZ NEWS: HISTORY MADE AT BAUCHI STATE AS AREWA IN VOGUE OFFICIALLY UNVEILS!

The prestigious Maiden edition of AREWA IN VOGUE took place from the 16th, 17th and 18th of March 2018 welcoming the most creative and innovative names in the entertainment and fashion industry Bauchi. The Fashion Show With over 8 new and returning designers presenting their collections in an official on-schedule catwalk show presentation, the event welcomed guests from Bauchi and its environs, from emerging and established talents, Nigerian Culture and Tourism Development Corporation North east zone representate by NTA BAUCHI and JOJERAH TV press were in attendance to mark the historic event with over 70 different attires those stats, while impressive in themselves, only go some way towards explaining the importance of this bi-annual event to the fashion industry and of far more significance is fashion’s contribution to the Region economy as a whole! This year AREWA IN VOGUE focused on Positive Fashion, a platform designed to promote and celebrate diversity, sustainability and openness; encouraging fashion to be used as a platform to promote entrepreneurship and decency in the society. The event celebrated the inclusivity of the fashion industry and aims to position Arewa as a national hub for inclusiveness, openness, creativity, Decency, innovation and commerce.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

The event started on Friday 16th March kick starting with Trade fair and arrival of models and fashion designers at the venue that featured sales, spoken word and musical performances from vendors, Phil J writer and Trinity music group respectively. The whole surrounding was fun filled with loud music. People came in and patronize vendors. On arrival we had Vendors like; BAKERS ELEGANCE, IGOLD SUAVE, GRACE YUNUSA'S CD, KARIS ICE CREAM, MITCHELL AND LOTS MORE

Day 2 features the Official Unveiling, Fashion show and continuous Trade fair.
Started at about 5pm with runway where different designer’s attires was displayed to the applauding crowd. Designers such as; Babs scissors, Jahmeel Clothing, Rhodaski bridals, Bauchi Fashion Academy, Ben's clothing and Rzagi Fashion House collections was displayed by models on the runway

The last day featured Musical Concert graced by top Artistes within the state: BOC Madaki, Cman, Lemuel Knight, Viper X, Budicious, IB, Kalito, Mizbanq, Kim Taylors, Skyman and lots more.

          

TOP HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT

1.     TOP MEDIA HOUSES GRACE TH EVENT

The presence of Nigerian Television Authority, JOJERAH TV and Lumi Photography at the event created a media friendly environment with a lots of media activities such as interviews, Photography and video coverage.

2.     NIGERIAN TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IN ATTENDANCE.

The Nigerian culture and development corporation NTDC Zonal Head office, Bauchi sent in representatives to observe the event, Mr Nelson Lucas spoke on why the Board are excited about the whole platform and make it known that the board are open to being partners in progrss with such kind of events as the Board have it on their calender to celebrate fashion later this year at Abuja.

3. MORE AND MORE TALENTS UNFOLD

More designers, models and entertainers got the chance to showcase what they have in store during the course of the event apart from the existing or known designers, entertainers or models alot where given a platform to showcase.
